Comprehensive Care and Support for Substance Use Recovery
We recognize the enormous toll drug and alcohol use has on young people and their families. Adolescents are particularly vulnerable to the negative impacts of substance use due to their stage of brain development.
Cincinnati Children’s Substance Use Recovery Program (SURP) provides comprehensive medical care for young people ages 12 to 25 years who struggle with substances, including:
- Opioids/fentanyl
- Alcohol
- Nicotine/cigarettes/vapes
- Marijuana/cannabis
- Benzodiazepines
- Stimulants such as cocaine, methamphetamine and non-prescribed prescription stimulants
Our team works with patients and their families to determine the best treatment plan. In addition to medication treatment for substance use disorders, our program provides support to reduce harmful behaviors related to substance use.
We specialize in long-term outpatient medication treatment for youth substance use disorders, meaning you can receive care while continuing with your daily life. You won’t need to stay overnight, but you’ll still get the personalized care and support you need through regular appointments.
Our program is more than just treatment. It’s a safe, judgment-free space for teens and young adults.
