RNA Preparation Guidelines and Sample Quality Testing
The SCGF offers a service where clients can submit isolated and purified RNA or DNA for quality control checks. SCGF staff uses the Agilent TapeStation 4150 instrument to assess the quality of RNA or DNA samples.
Calculations such as RIN or DV200 can be added to RNA results and average base pair length.
Agilent TapeStation Assays
Agilent offers several kits to be used with the TapeStation 4150. The following are currently offered through the Single Cell Genomics Facility.
- D5000 DNA Assay: 0.1-50 ng/uL
- High Sensitivity D5000 DNA Assay: 10-1000 pg/uL
- RNA Assay: 25-500 ng/uL
- High Sensitivity RNA Assay: 1-25 ng/uL
