Six Cell Sorters for the Simultaneous Purification of Up to Six Populations

The Research Flow Cytometry Facility at Cincinnati Children’s operates six cell sorters for the simultaneous purification of up to six populations to be used for downstream applications. If you are a new client, please make sure you have a Stratocore account, an IBC protocol, and take the required courses (RFCC Course 1 and Course 10 can be found on the training tab). Once courses are completed, users must submit a "Cell Sorter Training/Consultation Form" under the "Request" tab in Stratocore to schedule a consultation.

Users can be trained on the Sonys (SH800S and MA900), FACSArias, FACSymphony S6, and the Bigfoot. Those instruments are available 24/7 for user operated sorts of up to two, four and six populations respectively.

Design a panel on one of our instruments using FluoroFinder.

Sample preparation

Read the Cell Sorting Guidelines for information on sample preparation, collection, etc.

Infectious cell sorting

All of our cell sorters are contained in class II biosafety cabinets for sorting of potentially infectious samples. Contact us for more information on infectious cell sorting. Please see this list for a non-exhaustive list of BSL2 and BSL2+ samples.

After your sort
