Our patient and family resources provide information and support for you and your family throughout your journey with the Tuberous Sclerosis Clinic at Cincinnati Children's.

School Resources

The TS Clinic offers several services to assist our school-age patients:

  • Providing documentation to school personnel regarding your child’s medical issues
  • Advocating for your child

For more serious educational concerns, the following resources can assist children with TS and their families:

  • Ohio Department of Education
  • Dena Hook is the director of advocacy and education for the Tuberous Sclerosis Alliance, and has many years of experience in advocating for children with disabilities and is available to help patients and families at our clinic. She is available two days a month in person at our clinic. Contact her at 1-800-225-6872 or email dhook@tsalliance.org.

Note that before we can provide information to your child’s school, you must complete a release form allowing us to share your child’s information.

Summer Camp

The Tuberous Sclerosis Summer Camp Program at Cincinnati Children’s was developed to provide a meaningful experience where TS patients can form friendships, build interpersonal skills and gain confidence in their abilities while participating in fun activities. Click here to learn more.
