Running Gait Analysis
Onsite Analysis
What specific services does the clinical program offer?
Cincinnati Children’s offers the region’s only clinical 3D running gait analysis technology. Used in research laboratories across the nation, our 3D running gait analysis system enables our clinicians to quickly identify running gait faults at various body regions.
Each patient receives a 9-page report of their running gait pattern along with detailed exercises, stretches, gait retraining tips, shoe ware analysis, and/or orthotic recommendations to meet their individual identifiable needs.
Our clinicians are adept at evaluating and treating a wide-range of running overuse injuries, such as:

Who would benefit from the program?
- Injured runners who are seeking to work with a running-specialist physical therapist and obtain a 2D and 3D running gait analysis as part of their physical therapy.
- Healthy runners who are seeking a 3D and 3D running gait analysis as a means of maximizing their performance and reducing their risk of injury.
What makes the team experts?
Our Running Gait Analysis team is comprised of physical therapists who are specifically trained to combine the data from 2D and 3D running analysis with the patient’s unique presentation. These skills enable them to provide the best care and interventions to our athletes and improve performance. Our team features physical therapists who are runners themselves. They use their passion to improve outcomes for runners through ongoing research and education of both runners and other physical therapists.
