Comprehensive Care for Sturge-Weber Syndrome
Cincinnati Children’s Hemangioma and Vascular Malformations Center is recognized by the Sturge-Weber Foundation as a member of its Clinical Care Network (formerly Centers of Excellence). Our center is one of just 25 in the nation to receive this designation, which emphasizes comprehensive care for adults and children with this condition.
Because Sturge-Weber syndrome can impact different areas of your child’s health, including their blood vessels, skin, eyes and brain, children with this condition may need to see several providers to manage their condition. Cincinnati Children’s makes managing this syndrome easier with dedicated care coordination—several visits at the same site on the same day means fewer trips to the doctor for your family.
Our team brings a comprehensive approach to treating Sturge-Weber syndrome throughout your child’s life. With us, your child’s care includes:
- Care coordination
- Dermatology
- Hematology
- Neurology
- Ophthalmology
- Plastic surgery
- Social work
Cincinnati Children’s is also a member of the Brain Vascular Malformation Consortium, which is working toward clinical trials for Sturge-Weber syndrome.
