I am a board certified pathologist and physician scientist investigating the molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying lung disease pathogenesis. I have more than 17 years of experience using advanced morphologic, molecular and protein analysis techniques to advance understanding of organ development and disease. I provide my expertise in analysis and interpretation of human development and disease pathology, experimental animal models, molecular pathology and cellular studies to advance research.

I am the manager of Pathology including Histology, Electron Microscopy, Molecular Pathology and the Tissue BioBank. I completed my BS in zoology/anthropology at Miami University in Oxford, OH, and my MS in biological sciences at the University of Cincinnati. I focus on molecular techniques such as DNA plasmid preparation, in situ hybridization for mRNA and viral DNA, and immunohistochemistry.

I am an ASCP certified histologist with years of experience in the field. My work focuses on both human and animal immunohistochemistry and immunofluorescence, specializing in new antibody work ups.

I have 12+ years of experience as an imaging specialist at Cincinnati Children’s. My photography, design and illustration skills have been utilized in the publication of many book chapters, posters and journal articles.
