Collaborations
Dr. Tiao’s lab collaborates with several groups located within Cincinnati Children's as well as many external groups.
- In collaboration with Dr. Jorge Bezerra (Cincinnati Children's, Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology & Nutrition), Dr. Tiao investigates the molecular mechanism of virus induced biliary atresia in mice.
- In collaboration with Dr. Claire Chougnet (Cincinnati Children's, Division of Immunobiology), Dr. Tiao investigates the role of CD8 T cells and NK cells in the pathogenesis of biliary atresia
- In collaboration with Jaroslaw Meller (Cincinnati Children's, Division of Biomedical Informatics), Dr. Tiao examines the role of different rotavirus proteins and peptides playing a role in cholangiocyte tropism.
- In collaboration with Dr. Nikolai Timchenko (Cincinnati Children's, Department of Pediatric Surgery), Dr. Tiao is studying the development of hepatoblastoma in children.
- In collaboration with Dr. Stacey Huppert (Cincinnati Children's, Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology & Nutrition.), Dr. Tiao is studying cholangiocyte development.
- In collaboration with Terence Dermody (Division of Infectious Diseases at Vanderbilt University), Dr. Tiao is working on reverse genetics of rotavirus.
- In collaboration with Dr. Lijuan Yuan (Virology and Immunology at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University), Dr. Tiao is working on reverse genetics of rotavirus.
- In collaboration with Dr. Karol Sestak (Division of Microbiology, Tulane National Primate Research Center) Dr. Tiao is working on a generation of single gene reassortments and getting primate samples.
- In collaboration with Monica McNeal (Cincinnati Children's, Division of Infectious Diseases), Dr. Tiao gets insight into rotavirus replication and detection assays.
