The Modi Lab typically includes undergraduate volunteers, student undergraduate research fellows (SURFs), clinical research coordinators, graduate students and postdoctoral fellows.
Studies primarily focus on adherence, self-management, and executive functioning, including the development and testing of behavioral interventions with children and adolescents with epilepsy and type 1 diabetes and their families.
Research-related duties in the lab include recruitment of study participants, data entry, conducting assessments with families, providing intervention, preparing for study visits, and improving study retention (e.g. reminder cards, phone calls, birthday cards).
