Plastic Surgery
The
Division of Pediatric Plastic Surgery conducts research to understand craniofacial development, enhance wound healing, and optimize clinical outcomes. The
Lan lab investigates the mechanisms and pathogenesis of facial clefting to develop strategies for treating and preventing craniofacial anomalies. Our translational research efforts aim to modulate pathologic scar formation with pharmacologic intervention. The clinical research focuses on improving surgical intervention outcomes for the most common craniofacial anomalies.
