Like most U.S. hospitals, Cincinnati Children's is affected by the IV fluid shortage caused by damage to Baxter International's North Carolina production facility during Hurricane Helene. Our teams will continue to watch this situation and will provide any updates as needed.
Titus Lail grew up as the big kid always being teased because of his weight. When he entered his teens, his weight began to top 300 pounds. When he was 15, he learned about weight loss surgery for teens at Cincinnati Children's and began the struggle of becoming half his size. Today, he's in his early 20s, and is still making healthy eating and exercise part of his lifestyle. He is a youth football coach, and he has become a mentor for kids going through the same issues.
