Expert Adolescent Care for Hypermobility Disorders
The Hypermobility Clinic at Cincinnati Children’s expertly diagnoses and treats Hypermobility Spectrum Disorders (HSD) and hypermobile Ehler’s Danlos syndrome (hEDS). Hypermobility spectrum disorders are a group of connective tissue disorders which may have symptomatic joint hypermobility. HSD is a diagnosis of exclusion and refers to symptomatic joint hypermobility which is given after excluding other forms of Ehler’s Danlos syndrome (EDS).
Our experienced care team compassionately treats HSD and hEDS and refers patients with more severe forms where genetic testing may be available, for appropriate treatment. We accept new patients between the ages of 12 and 22. Existing patients can continue their care with us until age 25. All patients need a referral from a pediatrician, primary care provider or a subspecialty physician prior to making an appointment.
