Care for Mild Bleeding Disorders
Our care team treats children and adolescents with less severe bleeding disorders, too. These conditions include platelet function disorders, von Willebrand disease with mild bleeding, and others.
The first clinic appointment will include:
- A complete physical exam
- Lab tests
- An appointment with a social worker, who will connect your family with helpful resources
After reviewing the results of this initial evaluation, members of the care team talk with the family about the child’s condition and medical needs. We will schedule follow-up appointments as needed and are always available to answer your questions and address any concerns you have about your child’s health.
