Making an Appointment
You will need a referral to make an appointment with our team. Your child's pediatrician or neurologist can send a referral. Once we receive the referral, one of our team members will contact you to schedule an appointment.
Preparing for Your Visit
We strive to help you make the most of every appointment with our team. To save time and ensure all your questions are answered, please bring these items to your child’s visit:
- Your child’s insurance information
- A list of questions you have
- Any recent test results or images
On the Day of Your Visit
Before Your Appointment
We ask that you arrive to our office 15 minutes before your appointment. Our office is at the Burnet Campus, which is a large hospital. Please be sure to leave plenty of time for parking and walking to our office.

At Your Appointment
We offer thorough evaluations and the latest treatments for all neuromuscular disorders. Depending on the reason for your child’s visit, you may see multiple specialists including:
- Cardiologists
- Genetic counselors
- Neurologists
- Physical therapists
- Psychologists
- Pulmonologists
- Social workers
Visits can also include many tests to evaluate your child’s condition.
This comprehensive appointment may last several hours. Our schedulers will let you know what to expect—from how long you’ll be with us to which providers you’ll see.
After Your Visit
You will receive an “After Visit Summary” before you leave. This document includes important information about your next appointments and the next steps in your child’s care.
