Cincinnati Moms Expand Camp for Kids with Eosinophilic Disorders

When Melissa Scott learned her son had eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE), she had never heard of it. Her son had a complex and challenging condition that made it hard for him to swallow food.

And in a society consumed with food, Melissa searched for answers and support. She found it at the Cincinnati Center for Eosinophilic Disorders (CCED), as well as from other moms, like Cathy Reidy, whose son also has the disorder.

Together, they formed a support group and a weekend camp just for kids with eosinophilic disorders.

This is their story.
