I am a pediatric cardiologist with special interest in single ventricle heart disease. In addition to patient care, I’m involved in research. I’m working to understand the differences between outcomes in similar patients, and between different institutions.

I am the director of Preventive Cardiology where I lead a multidisciplinary team of physicians, nurses and dieticians in the treatment of high blood pressure (hypertension) and high cholesterol (dyslipidemia). My area of expertise is non-invasive imaging of the heart and blood vessels in youth with risk factors for heart attack and stroke. I also lead the Vascular Lab for many multicenter research studies.

As the business manager, I am responsible for financial management as well as operational and strategic planning needs.

I have a Master of Science in Exercise Science and am a Registered Invasive and Non-Invasive Cardiopulmonary Technologist. I started with the Cardiovascular Imaging Research Laboratory in 2008 and have 30 years of clinical experience in non-invasive testing; 20 of those years have included management responsibilities.

Over the years, I have authored and co-authored numerous abstracts and manuscripts related to non-invasive testing in pediatric and adult patients with acquired and congenital heart disease and patients with co-morbidities for cardiovascular disease. I have also presented findings related to process improvement methodology use in clinic flow at national scientific meetings.

I joined the Heart Institute in 2009 and specialize in pediatric and adult echocardiograms, as well as cardiovascular animal ultrasound. My extensive knowledge and attention to detail help our research team deliver accurate results.

I joined the Cardiovascular Imaging Research Laboratory in 2018 with 14 years of experience as a congenitally trained cardiac sonographer. I received my bachelor of science degree in 2000 and achieved my RDCS in pediatric echo in 2005.

I started working in the Heart Institute in 2015 and joined the Cardiovascular Imaging Research Laboratory in 2021. Here, I am responsible for receiving, coordinating, and pricing new project requests. I also coordinate conferences and meetings, and schedule cardiac, vascular, and animal study procedures, monitoring daily statistics and billing.

I started with the Cardiovascular Imaging Research Laboratory in 2011 and perform non-imaging vascular studies for research. I acquired my associates degree in medical assisting in 1993 and assist with hands-on instruction during the Vascular Structure and Function Assessment workshops.

I joined the Cardiovascular Imaging Research Laboratory in 2007 and specialize in cardiovascular animal ultrasound, as well as, research echocardiograms. Throughout the years, I have authored and co-authored abstracts and manuscripts related to animal and human research.

I joined the Cardiovascular Imaging Research Laboratory in January 2023 with a focus in human cardiovascular ultrasound. I have been a registered cardiovascular sonographer since 2008 and have over 15 years of experience in adult echocardiography specializing in advanced cardiac imaging with structural heart intervention, cardiothoracic surgery and research.

Throughout my career, I have served as both the clinical preceptor to sonography students and training coordinator to new staff. I have also participated as a team member of cardiac imaging investigator-initiated peer reviewed research and data analysis, and was first author of Coronary Cameral Fistula from Left Circumflex Artery to Left Atrium Identified by Three-Dimensional Transesophageal Echocardiography CASE report in which I presented the poster at the 2019 ASE Scientific Session. I was also elected FASE in October 2019.

I joined the Cardiovascular Imaging Research Laboratory in September of 2022. I have over 20 years of experience as a cardiac sonographer and over 10 years of experience performing research echocardiograms.
