Research in the Esbensen Lab focuses on how we assess constructs of cognition, executive functioning, and developmental skills among individuals with Down syndrome. We also focus on improving behavior in individuals with Down syndrome.
Our lab has several ongoing studies, all related to Down syndrome:

- Tracking developmental skills in younger children with Down syndrome
- Treatment of ADHD with stimulant medication among children and adolescents with Down syndrome
- Treatment of sleep apnea with oxygen among children and adolescents with Down syndrome
