Projects & Collaborations
Since 2014, the Center for Pediatric Genomics has invested $1 million annually to fund internal pilot projects that engage both clinical and bench researchers in advancing discovery and translation in genomics. In addition to the development of genomic knowledge and infrastructure, this initiative accelerates the assembly of collaborative teams where members teach one another about their respective roles in understanding genomics.
Our goal is to elevate learning about genomics across disciplines, from the clinician who sees patients and asks questions about their diseases, to the analyst who reads the genetic information, to the bench scientist who creates genetic changes in animal models to link a particular gene to a disease.
