Meet the Hommel Lab Members

Our research coordinators take the lead role in recruiting and retaining study participants, which involves a high degree of interaction with patients and their families. They also perform clinical research duties according to study protocols, maintain correspondence with the Institutional Review Board (IRB) and conduct data collection, entry, and management. Advanced research coordinators in our lab have the opportunity to conduct preliminary data analyses, prepare professional presentations and/or manuscript writing, and supervise lab volunteers and staff.

Postdoctoral fellows working in our lab have numerous training opportunities in design and conduct of randomized controlled trials involving behavioral interventions, observational studies, data analyses, manuscript writing, grant writing, development of manualized interventions and clinical work in adherence and self-management, as well as other clinical opportunities in pediatric psychology. Fellows experience a variety of didactic training experiences in the Division of Behavioral Medicine and Clinical Psychology. They interact with a variety of clinicians and researchers in psychology, medicine, biostatistics and epidemiology.
