Trainees

The Division of Asthma Research is always eager to accept new trainees, including undergraduate, graduate, and medical students, who are dedicated to advancing our understanding of allergic diseases and asthma. If you are passionate about exploring the progression and development of asthma, we would love to hear from you!

Medical Scientist Training Program (MSTP)

We are pleased to welcome MSTP students who aspire to become leaders in laboratory, clinical, and translational research in allergic diseases and asthma. Directed by our own Dr. Khuarana Hershey, we are devoted to providing high-quality mentorship and training to MSTP students that join our division. To learn more, visit the MSTP website hosted at the University of Cincinnati.

Asthma Immersive Research Experience (AIRE)

Our division has created an innovative undergraduate research program dedicated to providing the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with a focus on either laboratory or clinical research. Our program emphasizes personalized mentorship, and features seminars conducted by expert faculty members, and an end of semester oral presentation. These experiences help students develop key skill sets that prepare students in their pursuit of graduate level education. If you are interested in participating in AIRE, please reach out to us via email: Asthma_Research@cchmc.org.
