Dr. Robin Cotton Elected Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons
Dr. Robin Cotton, MD, FACS, FRCS(C), received an invitation to attend a ceremony on May, 11, 2018 at the Senate House in London England where he received the fellowship by election into the Royal College of Surgeons. The Royal College of Surgeons is an independent professional body and charity promoting and advancing standards of surgical care for patients and regulating surgery and dentistry in England and Wales. The unique feature of this elected honor is that one's peers refer to you by the title of Mr. instead of Dr.
Decision Aid Tool for Patients with Obstructive Sleep Apnea
The
Upper Airway Center developed a decision-making tool for patients with the goal of decreasing patient and family decisional conflict among caregivers of children with obstructive sleep apnea. This tool helps solve the problem that families previously had making treatment decisions from the information presented during clinical visits. This tool meets magnet certification standards for exemplary professional practice and helped Cincinnati Children's in this year's magnet redesignation.
