Town Hall, Meet-and-Greet

The Cincinnati Pediatric Society invites you to meet the AAP presidential candidates at a Town Hall/Meet-and-Greet on Monday, August 29, from 6 to 9 pm, in the Continental Room at the Hilton Cincinnati Netherland Plaza downtown. Colleen Kraft, MD, medical director of the Health Network by Cincinnati Children’s, and Michael Brady, MD, associate medical director, Nationwide Children’s Hospital, will be on hand to talk about their stance on important pediatric healthcare issues and to answer questions.

Fall CME event

Our fall CME event is slated for Wednesday, September 14, at Walt’s Hitching Post in Ft. Wright, KY. Nick Newman, DO, MS, FAAP, director of the Environmental Health and Lead Clinic at Cincinnati Children’s will speak on the topic of environmental health and lead.

In addition, we will hold our CME Intensive on Friday, September 30 at Interact for Health on the topic of ADHD in the School-Age Child: Care Strategies for Success.

Founder's Award dinner

The Founder’s Award dinner will take place on Sunday, October 30, at Cooper Creek. This year’s Founder’s Award will go to Chuck Schubert, MD. The Ray Baker Award recipient is Joe Real, MD. No word yet on who will receive the Robert Schaengold resident award. Stay tuned for more information in upcoming issues.

Baseball outing

Our baseball outing at Great American Ballpark on June 26 was a hit. Those who came got to see Pete Rose’s number retired, and the Reds beat the San Diego Padres!
