Cincinnati Children's Mobile Care Center

The Cincinnati Children’s Mobile Care Center is a new, innovative offering to help bring some of our specialized services closer to families who need them. The Mobile Care Center is staffed by our expert teams and travels to both local and regional communities to make accessing care more convenient for you.

You’ll receive the same high level of care on the Mobile Care Center that you receive when you visit any of our other Cincinnati Children’s locations. We designed it with the patient in mind to be a warm and welcoming environment and includes features like:

  • Two private exam rooms
  • Medical and diagnostic testing equipment for select services
  • Laboratory testing capabilities
  • Secure provider access to medical records for patients who have been seen at another one of our locations
  • Handicap accessible wheelchair lift, with staff available to assist

Services

The Mobile Care Center is designed to accommodate a number of health and social services. Cincinnati Children’s currently offers Pediatric Cardiology, Allergy and Immunology, Audiology, Endocrinology, Dermatology and Adolescent Medicine (Teen Health) on the Mobile Care Center. Other specialty services will be added in the future. We encourage you to check back from time-to-time as we will update the site with information on other specialty services as they are added.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • How will I know if I can be seen on the Mobile Care Center?
    We are currently seeing Cardiology, Audiology, Endocrinology and Dermatology patients on the Mobile Care Center, but other specialty services will be added in the future. Your provider and/or our schedulers can help determine if you can access services you need on the Mobile Care Center.
  • Will the provider on the Mobile Care Center have my medical records?
    Yes. The healthcare team on the Mobile Care Center will be able to access your medical records just like at any other Cincinnati Children’s location. If you have already seen a provider at another one of our locations, the provider on the Mobile Care Center will be able to view your Cincinnati Children’s electronic medical records using our secure software.
  • Does insurance or Medicaid cover visits at the Mobile Care Center?
    Visits on the Mobile Care Center will operate as any other outpatient location. All visits will be billed and covered the same as for any Cincinnati Children’s visit.
  • Is the Mobile Care Center handicap-accessible?
    Yes, there is a lift in one of the exam rooms, and our staff can assist.

  • If I drive to the Mobile Care Center, where do I park?
    Mobile Care Center SignThe Mobile Care Center will be located in a parking lot outside of a facility that we collaborate with. You can park in the facility’s parking lot near the Mobile Care Center. There will be a sandwich board with the directions on how to call or text the staff on the Mobile Care Center and the staff will instruct the patient and the family on when to come into the unit for services.
  • What do I do when I arrive?
    The Mobile Care Center’s entrance is clearly marked. When you enter, you’ll see a registration area and a Cincinnati Children’s registration kiosk, similar to how our clinics are set up in our other locations. Check in at the kiosk and then wait in the waiting area before being called back to an exam room. Our staff will welcome you and will be available to assist.
  • Where are the restrooms?
    You will be able to use the restrooms in the facility near the Mobile Care Center. Our staff can direct you where to go.
  • What will happen if I need emergency care while I’m on the Mobile Care Center?
    Staff on the Mobile Care Center will call 911 if an emergency medical situation arises. It will be handled like at any of our other outpatient and neighborhood locations.
  • Are services provided on the Mobile Care Center if there’s inclement weather?
    Patient safety is our priority. When bad weather is forecasted, we will closely monitor National Weather Service advisories and school closings. If the Mobile Care Center must be closed due to inclement weather, we will notify all patients as soon as possible.
