Preparing the Next Generation of Leaders 

There is a growing appreciation for the complex and critical role of the immune system in health and disease. Normal immune functioning is critical to protect us from infectious diseases and to build vaccine-induced immunity. Over- or under-functioning of the immune system can cause a range of health problems (autoimmune disease, metabolic syndromes); there is an urgent need to better understand basic mechanisms of how the immune system contributes to health and disease.
