Apply to the Neonatal-Perinatal Fellowship
The neonatal-perinatal fellowship at Cincinnati Children's accepts four new trainees per year. Applicants must have completed the PL-3 year or have been approved for fast-tracking by the American Board of Pediatrics for consideration. They must have the necessary credentials to obtain an Ohio State Medical Board license and Cincinnati Children's medical staff privileges.
We participate in the ERAS (Electronic Residency Application Service) match program; to apply online, visit the Association of American Medical College’s ERAS website. Please include the following with your application (through ERAS):
- Three letters of recommendation (one letter should be from your residency training program, and one letter should be from a neonatologist)
- A curriculum vitae
- Personal statement
- A wallet-size color photograph
- USMLE transcript (transmitted by the NBME)
- ECFMG status report (for international medical graduates only)
Applicants who are a good match for our program will be contacted to set up an interview. The Division of Neonatology provides candidates with accommodations in Cincinnati and meal reimbursement.
The interview day involves several of the faculty and fellows of the division. If the candidate has a specific research interest, this should be conveyed at the time of scheduling and every effort will be made to include faculty in that area during the visit.
