The Data Analyst position focuses on policies, procedures and methods to evaluate and improve the quality of products, materials, components and/or operations, all with the ultimate goal of improving child health. They also help to develop, assure and maintain the quality of products and processes, by developing standard procedures and quality audits/reviews. The data analyst may also be asked to conduct scientific studies / research in support of a Principal Investigator, or support strategic improvement initiatives.

Clinical Quality Specialists and nonclinical Quality Improvement Specialists use quality improvement (QI) methodology to help improve outcomes, mentor others to build unit improvement capability, promote evidence-based practices, prepare accurate and timely reports using basic statistical tools, and collaborate with area leaders to ensure alignment with strategic improvement priorities.
