History of Excellence

The Sonya Oppenheimer Division of Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics is named in honor of Sonya Oppenheimer, MD, who retired as division director in July 2005. Dr. Oppenheimer’s decades of outstanding service helped establish our reputation as one of the leading centers for interdisciplinary training in the care of children with developmental disorders. This naming is made possible thanks to generous support from the Jack Rubinstein Foundation for Developmental Disorders.
