Cincinnati Children's is conducting research studies, sometimes known as clinical trials or clinical studies, to find out how effective study drugs are for individuals with eosinophilic disorders. We want to see if the study treatment can improve your condition.
Children and adults 6 to 80 years old with Eosinophilic disorders (Eosinophilic Esophagitis, Eosinophilic Gastritis, Eosinophilic Colitis, etc) including hypereosinophilic syndrome (HES) may participate.
These studies involve multiple visits to Cincinnati Children's Hospital. These visits may include the following:
You and/or your child will be given a consent form that thoroughly explains the details of the study. A member of the study staff will review the consent form with you and will ensure that your questions are answered.
You or your child may or may not have a direct benefit from participating in these studies. However, we hope to obtain information from these studies that may help us with more effective treatments for Eosinophilic disorders in the future.
A detailed list of possible side effects will be included in the consent and will be reviewed with the study staff.
You may receive compensation for your participation in the research study.
