Cincinnati Children's is conducting a research study, sometimes known as a clinical trial or clinical study, to learn more about the social skills (e.g., having conversations, building friendships, handling conflict) in teens with autism. Involves a 15-week intervention to build age-appropriate social skills.
Teens in their last 2 years of high school who:

This study includes 1 visit to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital lasting approximately 2 hours. There will also be 3 telehealth outcome visits and 15 telehealth group sessions. These are the things that your child will complete while in the study:

You and your child will be given a consent form that thoroughly explains the details of the study. A member of the study staff will review the consent form with you and will be sure that your questions are answered.
Your child may not have a direct benefit from participating in this study. However, we hope to learn information from the study that may help us create more effective ways to prepare teens entering adulthood in the future.
It is not expected that you or your teen will be exposed to any risk by participating in this research study.
A detailed list of possible side effects will be provided to those participants, parents or guardians interested in knowing more about this study.
Participants will receive up to $440 for time and effort.
