2009 Research Annual Report
The 2009 Annual Report highlights the achievements of the talented faculty and staff of the Cincinnati Children’s Research Foundation (CCRF).
Despite a slight decrease in NIH funding, our total research funding increased by 4.4 percent to more than $137 million. The increase in sponsored research was largely due to support from industry and foundations, including the Gates Foundation, the American Heart Association and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
In 2009, we recruited 64 new faculty bringing the total to 504. These talented individuals authored 1,147 publications, including 979 peer-reviewed articles, many in prestigious scientific journals.
