Research Highlights

• We appointed 86 new investigators to the Research Foundation, bringing our total to 684 full- and part-time faculty. 
• We received $122 million in funding from the NIH, placing us once again among the nation’s top-funded pediatric research institutions. 
• 57 of our faculty received internal grant funding totaling more than $3.8 million.
• Our faculty published more than 1,600 articles in peer-reviewed journals.
• We had 371 fellows in our training programs: 158 in research postdoctoral fellowships and 213 clinical fellows.
• We awarded Child Health Research Center grants to four faculty members.
• Our clinical activity included more than 1.14 million outpatient visits.
• We provided continuing education credits to more than 41,000 medical professionals.
• We honored faculty for leadership in entrepreneurial achievement, research, clinical care, mentoring and more.

• More than 11 million dollars was given through philanthropic funding to support research at Cincinnati Children’s.
