Patty Manning-Courtney, MD, named vice president, medical operations, Ambulatory Services
Patty Manning-Courtney, MD, has been appointed vice president of medical operations, Ambulatory Services, for Cincinnati Children’s. In her role, Manning-Courtney will lead the strategic planning work for Ambulatory Services, work that has been in progress for many months.
“I am so grateful for the opportunity to lead this work and partner with so many critical stakeholders, including Patient Services, divisions, Primary Care, support services, referring providers, and patients and their families,” said Manning-Courtney. “I’ve practiced in the ambulatory site of care for my entire career, and I am excited about the improvements we will make together through this work.”
Manning-Courtney has held several leadership roles at Cincinnati Children’s, including associate chief of staff, Ambulatory Services; co-division director, Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics; and medical director, The Kelly O’Leary Center for Autism Spectrum Disorders, which she founded in 1999.
“Dr. Manning has done an unbelievable job as associate chief of staff for Ambulatory Services. Her promotion to vice president is extremely well-deserved and timely for us as we work to develop, strengthen, and execute our ambulatory strategic plan to take our Ambulatory Services to the next level,” said Chief of Staff Derek Wheeler, MD. “I am personally so thankful for her leadership, and I am thrilled that she has accepted this position. She will be awesome.”
Manning-Courtney earned her undergraduate degree from Austin College and her MD from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. She completed her internship and residency at Cincinnati Children’s and was a fellow at Cincinnati Center for Developmental Disorders. She is board-certified in Pediatrics and Developmental Behavioral Pediatrics.
Throughout her career, Manning-Courtney has been recognized with a number of awards and honors for her professional achievements. She is a frequent contributor to professional publications and has presented regionally, nationally and internationally on issues related to autism spectrum disorders.
