Community asthma conference
Mark your calendar for Monday, October 22, when Cincinnati Children’s, the University of Cincinnati and the Cincinnati Health Department will present a community asthma conference, from 8:30 am to 4 pm, at the St. Elizabeth Training and Education Center, in Erlanger, KY.
The conference will focus on decreasing exacerbations by targeting high-risk patients. Panel discussions, lectures, and breakfast sessions will feature the best, most up-to-date methods of asthma management, including:
- Asthma phenotypes/heterogeneity: What is it and why does it matter?
- Strategies for targeting and treating high-risk patients in community practices
- Multidisciplinary asthma management for children living in poverty
- Removing barriers to implementing best practices
- Engaging parents/families/patients in improving asthma outcomes
- Developing community partnerships and non-medical interventions
- Implementation strategies for comprehensive asthma management
This conference is designed for physicians, asthma specialists, nurse practitioners, nurses, respiratory therapists, social workers, pharmacists and clinical staff from hospitals, urgent care and primary care facilities with pediatric asthma patients, and school facilities with pediatric asthma students/patients.
