Psychiatry inpatient unit moves to College Hill
The Division of Adolescent and Child Psychiatry recently moved their 10 inpatient beds from A4 Central 2 at Burnet Campus to the College Hill Campus. This move is to support the NICU and PICU expansions slated to open this summer and fall, respectively.
The Psychiatric Intake Response Center (PIRC) will continue to complete mental health assessments and provide a recommendation on level of care for patients presenting at both Cincinnati Children’s Emergency Departments. If an inpatient psychiatric admission is required, the patient will be admitted to either our College Hill Campus or Lindner Center of HOPE location. Determining where patients are admitted will depend on a variety of factors, including: bed availability, age of the patient and other medical considerations. All patients will be transported to one of these admission sites by ambulance.
