Monday, August 05, 2024

Cincinnati Children’s is again collaborating with several Adams County organizations on a health fair, which will run 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 10.

The third-annual fair will be held at Adams County Christian School, 187 Willow Drive in West Union, which is across Manchester Street from Walmart. More than 1,200 people attended last year’s health fair.

The theme of this year’s fair is “Making Health Champions,” which will include a sports-related fun zone for kids. The free event will include games, music, food trucks and other activities for younger children, teens and families. All ages are welcome, and those who attend will receive health information, gift cards, food vouchers and toys.

Cincinnati Children’s partners on the fair with the Adams County Health Department and community organizations to increase healthcare education and access, enhance connection to community and social services, and improve health outcomes for kids. The fair will feature:

  • Health screenings, including vision and dermatology
  • Child immunizations
  • Nutrition education
  • Health and safety tips
  • Family resources
  • Mental health resources

Other organizations co-sponsoring the health fair include Adams County Public Health, the Adams County Regional Medical Center, ACRMC Family Medicine, Adams County Christian School, Adams County Ohio Valley Schools and the Manchester Local School District.
