LEND Program
The aim of the Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and related Disabilities (LEND) Program at Cincinnati Children's and the University of Cincinnati (UC) is to train culturally competent, family-centered interdisciplinary leaders who will improve the health of infants, children, and adolescents with or at risk for developmental disabilities. In addition, a major focus of the Cincinnati Children's / UC LEND program is to increase the number of professionals with knowledge and skills to provide evidence-based screening for and diagnosis and treatment of autism and other developmental disabilities.
LEND trainees come from over ten disciplines and include family members of children with disabilities. The Cincinnati Children's / UC LEND Program is one of 52 LEND Programs nationwide, funded by the Maternal and Child Health Bureau of the federal government.
