Growing up in a big family, I always knew I wanted to become a nurse and work with kids. In my role as the Cystic Fibrosis Center Coordinator, I work closely with people with CF from diagnosis to transition to adult care. I care for patients who are admitted to the hospital with acute illnesses and also see patients in outpatient clinic for routine care and sick visits. I am involved in quality improvement projects in the CF Center and throughout the hospital. I work to bring the CF care team together to provide the best possible care to our patients and their families. As a nurse practitioner at Cincinnati Children’s in the Division of Pulmonary Medicine, I’m also part of a team specializing in the acute and chronic management of mechanically ventilated patients and the education of their caregivers.
I believe that patient- and family-centered care is essential, especially for people with chronic illnesses and during lengthy hospitalizations. Being an advocate for my patient and their family is my main priority.
In my free time, I love spending time with my family and friends. I also enjoy watching and playing sports, and visiting local restaurants and breweries.
