About

Biography

I am a pediatric hospitalist who cares for children who are hospitalized at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. I believe involving families in their child's care is essential because families are the experts when it comes to their children. They are an important part of the care team, and I value this shared partnership. Working with families is one of the reasons I chose pediatrics, as it adds an additional dimension to my work.

I chose pediatrics because I love working with children. They are incredibly resilient and their joy, despite difficulties, continually amazes me. I fell in love with pediatrics because of the added challenges of working with children, as they may not always be able to tell you what is going on. Creativity to obtain an accurate examination in a nonverbal child is essential and something I enjoy.

I enjoy academic medicine and working at a large institution because one of my passions is medical education and training future pediatricians.

When I’m not at work, I spend time with my family, especially outdoors. I also enjoy cooking and baking with my daughters.
