I have dedicated my career to pediatric cardiology, both as a nurse and more recently as a nurse practitioner. My journey in medicine has been driven by a passion for helping children with heart conditions, particularly those in critical care. I have a special interest in caring for children with pulmonary hypertension and supporting their families through challenging times.
My national involvement includes serving as Chair of the PH Professional Network Executive Committee for the Pulmonary Hypertension Association and working with the Pediatric Pulmonary Hypertension Network. These roles allow me to contribute to improving patient care on a broader scale, ensuring that children with pulmonary hypertension receive the best possible treatment.
In addition to my clinical work, I am proud to be one of the medical co-directors of Camp Joyful Hearts, a weeklong residential camp for children with heart defects, pulmonary hypertension and heart transplants. This camp provides a unique opportunity for children to experience joy and camaraderie with a support network of other kids in similar circumstances.
I collaborate closely with other Cincinnati Children's providers and clinicians in both clinical and research endeavors. Together, we strive to improve care for children with pulmonary hypertension, continuously seeking new ways to enhance treatment and outcomes.
