About

Biography

I'm a pediatrician specializing in critical care medicine at Cincinnati Children's Hospital.

I enjoy caring for patients from infancy to adolescence, and the resilience of children inspires me every day. My grandfather was a primary care physician. He always emphasized the importance of relationships and caring for patients as a whole person. Whenever I interact with a patient and their family, I think about this wisdom. Because I have always loved children, pediatrics is a naturally fit for me. My interest in caring for patients with high acuity conditions and those with medical complexity led me to a career in pediatric critical care medicine.

The intensive care unit (ICU) can be overwhelming, with many different care teams involved in treating one patient. My role as a pediatric critical care specialist is to serve as the patient's primary care physician during their stay, which requires me to coordinate information from different teams into one individualized, cohesive plan for each patient.

My academic interests focus on quality and safety, specifically on the optimization of patient care. This includes patient flow through the ICU and patient safety in high-acuity situations.

When not caring for patients, I enjoy spending time with my family and being outdoors.
