About

Biography

As a cardiology fellow primarily trained in pediatric intensive care, my clinical specialty is pediatric cardiovascular critical care medicine. I'm very energetic and quick on my feet, but I will always take extra time to sit at the bedside and talk things through. My approach to patient care includes kindness and curiosity.

I have always been passionate about helping others and curious about how the body works. My dynamic nature and love of team sports led me to believe that the intensive care environment was a "no-brainer" choice. Working for and with children came naturally, as I am at ease interacting with kids and their families.

As a researcher, I strive to improve medical education and how we teach medical learners the wonders of medicine. I recently won the Best Trainee Abstract at the Critical Care Canada Forum (CCCF) 2023 Congress and am very proud of this recognition. This award was for a medical education research project in which I was involved during my master’s degree education.

I am a big sports enthusiast. I was a high-level athlete until the previous Olympic cycle when I skated with the Canadian National Short Track Speed Skating team (I told you I was quick on my feet)! As a happily retired athlete, I enjoy running, cycling and rock climbing.
