I specialize in neonatal and infant critical care. I have a passion for caring for patients with congenital diaphragmatic hernias (CDH). As a CDH Champion, I am working hard—along with the rest of our team—to improve the outcomes of these patients. I genuinely love what I do and put my heart into the management and care I provide for my patients and families. It was my honor to be the first nurse practitioner to ever win a Daisy Award at Cincinnati Children’s (2021).
As a neonatal nurse practitioner, I support families going through very stressful and emotional circumstances. I provide compassionate care and am there during a pivotal period that shapes the rest of their child’s life. I went into this area of medicine to help give babies a fighting chance and defy the odds.
While I love caring for all disease processes, I have a special place in my heart for patients with CDH. Patient-centered care continues to be my priority while supporting the family every step of the way. My philosophy is to build a relationship with my patients and families from day one and continue that through discharge so I can be a constant throughout their lives and stressful times.
When I’m not at work, I love to stay active. I enjoy traveling, lifting weights, hiking and biking. I also like to cook, and you may find me with my head in a good book.
