I'm an occupational therapist specializing in early neuromotor development cerebral palsy concerns, cerebral visual impairment (CVI) and home health care. I am trained in CVI assessment and in various assessments of early motor skills. I strive to create an atmosphere with good communication among parents, myself and colleagues.
My care philosophy embodies teamwork, communication and holistic care. Seeing the whole person is a meaningful way to build successful outcomes. I consider parents and children to be team leaders, and creating goals and activities to help improve their lives is what drives me. The best part of therapy with children is that they are resilient, and they respond well when given opportunities. They embody the spirit that everything is possible when we work together.
I'm also a researcher aiming to identify factors that support early detection of cerebral palsy in children and those that promote the best treatments and practices for CVI.
In my free time, I love the outdoors and enjoy exercising.
