As a nurse practitioner, I assist in epilepsy surgery in the Division of Neurology. Before becoming a nurse practitioner, I had the honor of working with this team and patient population as a registered nurse.
While working with epilepsy and epilepsy surgery patients, I fell in love with everything about it. I am passionate about helping our patients have the highest quality of life possible and walking alongside them in their journey. I strive to give them the expertise and support they need for the best possible outcomes.
I approach patient care as holistically as possible. It is often easy to become focused on an individual problem but understanding how many factors interconnect is crucial. Whether it is related to a disease process, social factors or family dynamics, it all plays a role in the overall care of my patients.
My goal is to provide children with the level of care I would expect for my own family. I want families to trust that they will receive the best possible care every time they visit me. We are a team, and their input is invaluable. They are the expert on their child, and together we can achieve great results.
During my free time, I enjoy being with my family, taking backpacking trips and exploring nature.
