As a pediatric rehabilitation specialist, I work with children who have physical disabilities, including brain injury, cerebral palsy, limb differences and spinal cord injury. I provide inpatient and outpatient care.
I use a patient- and family-centered approach to ensure that each child receives individualized care. I think about my patients as people first. Working together with children and families, we create care plans that help them achieve their personal health goals.
My first hands-on experience with children living with disabilities came during a volunteer experience in medical school at an adaptive rock-climbing program. I loved the energy and drive of these children. They inspired me to go into a field that enabled all children to reach their potential.
In my research, I focus on optimizing and improving care for kids with brain injury, cerebral palsy and spinal cord injury.
In my free time, I run marathons and volunteer with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Cincinnati.
