About

Biography

I am a pediatrician who specializes in pediatric obesity treatment and prevention. I was drawn to this work because of the great need in the community, and I chose pediatrics because I love working with children and young adults.

In my practice, I use an individualized approach with each child and family. As director of the Center for Better Health and Nutrition, I support our family-centered method that focuses on helping children and their families live a healthier lifestyle.

I was a general pediatrician for more than 20 years before moving to obesity work. I was honored to join the board of the American Board of Obesity Medicine.

In addition to helping patients and families, I’m involved in research. Our team is examining better ways to treat and prevent obesity.

In my spare time, I enjoy being with my family, running, and playing with my dog and cats.
