For a Mental Health Emergency
- If your child has a mental health emergency, first, call your child's outpatient or community mental health provider.
- Call 988, The National Suicide and Prevention Hotline
- If you are still in need of help, call Cincinnati Children's Psychiatric Intake Response Center (PIRC) at 513-636-4124. We will let you know what you need to do for your child.
- If you are not able to call your child's doctor, or the PIRC, take your child directly to an Emergency Department for a mental health evaluation or call 911.
