The Cincinnati Children’s Cancer and Blood Diseases Institute is one of the largest clinical care and research centers for pediatric cancers in the United States. We treat 200 new cancer patients each year and follow 2,000 from all over the country and around the world. Although heart disease is often thought of as affecting adults, pediatric heart disease is a common congenital defect, afflicting 35,000 children a year in the United States alone. The Cincinnati Children’s Heart Institute brings together the best clinicians and scientists who are working together to change the way pediatric cardiology is practiced around the world by fully integrating all areas of expertise, including research, to find better treatments and cures for pediatric cardiovascular disease.
