An MD and PhD Dual-Degree Program
The Jeffrey A. Whitsett Physician Scientist Fellowship supports training in the dual MD and PhD program. Students will earn a medical degree through the Medical Scientist Training Program; MSTP at the University of Cincinnati and a PhD through the Molecular & Developmental Biology (MDB) Graduate Program at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital.
One fellowship position is available per year and is awarded to the most competitive applicant who has a declared interest in pediatrics and pediatric research. The goal of this fellowship is to train physician scientists who will become world leaders in research into childhood health and diseases both at the bench and the bedside. The Jeffrey A.
