Pediatric Surgery Fellowship

At Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, the pediatric surgery residency (fellowship) is a two-year training program that emphasizes a diverse clinical experience in a high-volume quaternary center. One resident is chosen each year through the National Resident Matching Program. The applicant must have completed an ACGME accredited general surgical training program and must be eligible to take the ABS qualifying examination given by the American Board of Surgery. Ours is one of the country’s longest standing pediatric surgery training programs, dating back to 1965. To date, more than 50 pediatric surgeons have been trained in the division.

Our Program aims to increase diversity and representation among the pediatric surgery physician workforce. We work to create equitable conditions for growth and an inclusive learning environment for all. Read more about our institutional DEI efforts.
